There are two things I do not handle all that well; blood and needles. So when my employer had a blood drive a month ago it seemed like a perfect opportunity for an act of kindness however I could not bring myself to go and give blood. If I can man up, giving blood is something I want to do this year because it is so important however today, for my act of kindness, I decided to help the American Red Cross in a different way. I went to their website and registered to be a volunteer for events in my area. Maybe this will be a good step to donating blood later this year.
